Griggs, Dodd Sweep MPSF Weekly Awards
LOS ANGELES -- UCLA graduate goalkeeper Garret Griggs (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly HS) has been named the MPSF West/Delfina Player of the Week and freshman attacker Ryder Dodd (Long Beach, Calif./JSerra Catholic HS) has been named the MPSF West/S&R Sport Newcomer of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Griggs helped lead the top-ranked Bruins to a 16-9 regular season finale win over No. 4 USC (Nov. 16). Griggs registered a career-high-tying 15 saves and added one steal, while allowing eight goals (.652) in all but 1:55 of playing time.
This is the fourth career MPSF weekly award for Griggs.

Dodd recorded his 14th hat trick of the year with five goals to wrap the regular season, a 16-9 win over No. 4 USC (Nov. 16). Dodd added two assists, two steals, and drew three exclusions. His 82 goals on the year leads the conference, and entering the postseason, ranks tied for 15th in MPSF single-season history.
This is the fourth career MPSF weekly award for Dodd.
