Youth, the weekend of the Training Academy Olympic Roma
BOYS, Training Academy Olympic Roma - NC Civitavecchia 21-11 (3-0, 5-5, 9-2, 4-4)
A strong start for the Boys of the Training Academy Olympic Roma, who begin the season with a resounding victory of 21-11. On Saturday, November 16th, at the Sporting Club Tuscolano, the young athletes of Maurizio Gatto convincingly defeated Civitavecchia with a great team performance. By the middle of the second half, the score was already 8-2 in favor of the home team: certainly a great way to officially kick off the 2024/2025 season. The next match is scheduled for Saturday, November 30th, at 15:15, against Roma Nuoto B.

BOYS B, Training Academy Olympic Roma - Villa York 4-17
Also on Saturday, November 16th, a different debut for the Boys B, defeated at home by Villa York with a score of 4-17. At CSI Flaminio, the young athletes of Training Academy Olympic Roma couldn't keep up with an opponent who was more experienced and physically and technically better prepared today. The next match, again at home, is scheduled for Saturday, November 30th, at 18:00 against S.S. Lazio Nuoto.
The thought of the coach of Training Academy Olympic Roma, Maurizio Gatto: "The start of the championships is an important stage of the season and always generates great enthusiasm, in athletes but also in coaches. We are working well to grow and to improve. We have two teams, one is mainly composed of boys from the category, plus four beginners. While the other is a more significant mix of Boys and Beginners and consequently we know that we have less experience. I am happy, we look optimistically towards the upcoming challenges."
BEGINNERS, 5th place at the 1st Cup for Child Tournament in Anzio!
The official championship starts on December 8th, but the Beginners - in the meantime - certainly do not stand still. After the Bud Spencer in Monterotondo, on Sunday, November 17th, the youngest of the Training Academy Olympic Roma were involved in the 1st Cup for Child tournament, organized by Anzio Waterpolis. In the splendid setting of the Anzio Swimming Stadium, more than 180 athletes competed in many fun matches. Roma Vis Nova won the event, while Training Academy Olympic Roma finished 5th out of sixteen teams, the best in the region.
Comment from coach Maurizio Gatto: "In this tournament in Anzio, we have received confirmation that we are on the right path. We have significantly reduced the gap with the regional powerhouses compared to the previous season. We leave this long day more aware of our potential and where to direct our work in the coming months."
