Cattaro better than Budućnost, known semi-final pairs of Montenegro Cup | Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro
The water polo team Cattaro defeated Budućnost in Podgorica 13:10 (4:2, 3:2, 2:2, 4:4) in the final match of the preliminary phase of the Montenegro Cup.
Before this match, both teams secured their spots in the final tournament, with Cattaro finishing first in the preliminary round, earning a semi-final match against Primorac.
Budućnost will play against Jadran M:tel.
The final tournament will take place in Nikšić on November 29th and 30th.
Cattaro reached victory in Podgorica mostly due to their better performance from the middle of the first to the middle of the second quarter, taking a 6:2 lead with a 4-0 run.
At the beginning of the final period, guests from Kotor scored two goals to secure an unreachable 11:6 lead and the triumph.
Nebojša Petrović led Cattaro to victory with six goals, Marko Milić scored three, Ljubomir Kovačić and Dragan Marković scored two each, and Dušan Milaš scored one.
In Budućnost's team, Matija Brguljan scored four goals, Neđo Baštrica and Vladan Vukićević scored two each, and David Stevović and Danilo Savović scored one each.
