Liga Iberdrola Femenina I Crónica de la Jornada 6

Previously, the EPlus CN Catalunya-Astralpool CN Sabadell match (6-20) was held, and the Santa Cruz Tenerife Echeyde-CE Mediterrani match was postponed to 11/21 due to the women's Eurocup. On Saturday, the rest of Matchday 6 of the Women's Iberdrola Waterpolo League was played: Simalga Real Canoe NC-Zodiac 11-16 CN At. Barceloneta, Assolim CN Mataró 25-5 CD WP Iruña 9802, CN Sant Feliu 4-25 CN Sant Andreu, and CN Terrassa 18-6 CN Rubí.

This Saturday, the day started in Madrid with Zodiac CNAB visiting Pez Volador to play against the host Simalga Real Canoe NC. Based on previous matches, Catalan team was the favorite, and indeed they won 11-16, allowing them to climb in the standings. The sailors sealed the victory in the third quarter (2-6) thanks in part to their offensive signing of this season, Daniela Moreno (5 goals). Astrid Álvarez's team remains on the table with a penalty shootout win against CN Rubí.

In Mataró, under the instruction of legendary Dani Ballart, the team had no trouble defeating the newly promoted CD Waterpolo Iruña 98 02 by 25-5. It was an uneven match where the 7-1 start foretold the conclusive outcome. Silvia Avegno and Morgan McDowall were unstoppable for the visiting team from Navarra, who are focusing on a 'different' Iberdrola League.

In El Complex, a spirited Sant Feliu faced one of the continental giants, CN Sant Andreu. The team from the iconic neighborhood in Barcelona dominated against Bea Espinosa's team, who faced Javi Aznar as rivals this time. The initial 0-5 left the locals vulnerable, trailing 2-10 at halftime. They were then behind a team with immense experience, with ten of the visitors scoring goals.

Lastly, in the Olympic Area (last women's match of the day), CN Terrassa hosted CN Rubí after their previous victory in Mataró (8-9). This time they faced less trouble and secured a comfortable win. Jordi Millán's team, who were only leading 5-3 at halftime, pulled away in the third quarter with an impressive 7-1, for a final score of 18-6.
