Padova - The Plebiscito was too strong, the gap to be filled in the water by the Cosma Vela girls was too wide. They had to surrender to Padova by 17-6, but not without fighting and showing their best side. The Plebiscito started strong and only pulled away in the last quarter, where the Ancona team managed to contain the deficit. Pedley scored a goal in superiority, Bersacchia scored for Ancona in superiority, then Schaap and Millo both scored from penalties (4-1) in the first quarter. The second quarter followed a similar pattern: Cassarà and Bozzolan scored in superiority, Schaap netted twice, Grigolon, and finally Marchetti for Cosma, leading to 9-2 at halftime. In the third quarter, Schaap scored from a penalty, Muissu, Pedley, Millo from a penalty, then the Ancona team scored with Bersacchia, and Plebiscito with Cassarà and Pedley. In the last quarter, Bersacchia scored again, then Bozzolan in superiority, followed by Altamura, Grigolon in superiority, and finally Altamura again for the final score of 17-6. At the end of the match, Doric coach Milko Pace said: "I am very satisfied with the girls, too bad about the second quarter, but coming to Padova and getting twelve expulsions in our favor means there is intensity, there is desire. I am very pleased with the performance. Of course, there is a considerable difference between us and Padova, and that difference was evident. But we played well, we continue to work and grow."
