Apollon Smyrnis dominates with fourth consecutive win, beating GS Peristeri 26-13
Apollon Smyrnis extended their winning streak with a victory over GS Peristeri at the Seraphio swimming pool with a score of 26-13, as part of the 6th matchday of the Men's A1 Waterpolo Championship.
In the match, the home team started strong, laying the foundations for another victory in the season. Midway through the third period, Petar Randanovic's players took a double-digit lead in the score (16-6), making the rest of the match a formality. The final result was 26-13, with Apollon Smyrnis adding another three points to their season tally.
Foskolos and Solanakis stood out for the "blue and white" team, scoring four goals each. For GS Peristeri, Bitsakos, Aleuropoulos, Chomatás, and Koukoumakis scored twice each.
This was the fourth consecutive win for the "blue and white" team in the championship, bringing them to 15 points, equaling PAOK in the second position. On the other hand, the team from the western suburbs remained at three points and in 7th place in the group.
