Novi Sad Hosts the Quarterfinals of the Challenger Cup for Women Against Teams from Portugal, Croatia, and Germany
Voivodina will continue their battle for a spot in the Challenger Cup Finals for women on their home turf.
Today, in Zagreb, the lineups of the quarterfinal groups were drawn, and Voivodina was assigned to Group B as the host.
Novi Sad will host teams from Lisbon Benfica, Zagreb Mladost, and Blau-Weiss from Bochum (Germany). Benfica topped the group in Romania in the qualifications, where Red Star Belgrade also played, Mladost convincingly secured the first position in the group in the Czech Republic, while the German team played in Malta and finished second behind Split's Jadran. Voivodina also hosted one of the qualification tournaments and secured a spot in the quarterfinals as the runner-up behind the defending champions, Izmir from Turkey.
Teams from the other group will compete in Istanbul. The tournaments are scheduled for the second week of December, with the winners and runners-up advancing to the Finals.
