Cesport: Serie B Water Polo Tournament
Less than a month before the start of the upcoming championship, Cesport Italia is revving up its engines in the pre-championship tournament organized by Cristian Andrè and Salvatore Napolitano held this weekend in Santa Maria Capua Vetere. Comprising ten teams of absolute value, Cesport unexpectedly ranks second, performing well against opponents despite a general lack of athletic condition. The yellow-blue team won the qualifying round by defeating Roma Waterpolo, Club Aquatico Pescara, and San Mauro, only to be defeated by Dream Sport in the final with the top spot already secured. In the final, the Neapolitans were defeated by Roma 2020, a team that narrowly missed promotion to A2 last year and won all matches in the competition. This was a good test to gauge the team's cohesion, provide important information to Coach Gagliotta, and inspire the players. The President, coach, managers, and all the players dedicate the achieved second place to goalkeeper Luca Orbinato, who was sidelined due to a physical issue a few days ago, with the hope of getting him back in the water soon.
