Goals from exclusions, Penalties Converted 4/14, Arenzano 6/9
Absolute debut in A2 with some regrets for TRS Piacenza Water Polo 2018. The game was always in Arenzano's hands, even though Piacenza managed to equalize twice, only to then nullify it with substantial disorder in defense and attack, as evident from the goals/exclusions ratio where the Genoese team made the difference for the final result. Piacenza felt the emotion of their debut in the category against a focused Arenzano, a team "always" in this category. In the first half, the four goals by the Ligurians represented the jump in category, with Piacenza's first goal being a penalty shot by Beggiato followed by the first goal from open play by Galbignani. In the second half, TRS Piacenza managed to limit the Ligurians' quick maneuvering, giving the impression of being able to control the game. However, from the third quarter onwards, Arenzano's high pressure limited the local play, despite Piacenza reaching a 6-6 tie, it was sometimes rushed rather than reasoned. In the final quarter, Arenzano controlled the game and won the first match of the championship. Great performance from goalkeeper Bernardi and the debutants Roveda and Clini. The defeat is naturally disappointing, but there is a lot of calmness within TRS Piacenza Water Polo 2018; the debut marked by emotion was a possibility that was anticipated, and there is time to correct the mistakes. The second championship match has been postponed at Bogliasco's request to February 15th, giving Piacenza two weeks to prepare for the next game on Saturday, November 23rd against Ancona, always in Lodi, hoping for a good response from the audience that filled the central stands and supported the team.
