A1 M – Florentia: De Akker Bologna conquers Nannini

In the fifth round of the male A1 series regular season, De Akker turns the tables on home turf and condemns Florentia to their second consecutive defeat.

A fluctuating match for the lilac team that, after a difficult first half ending with a partial score of 0-4, finds the spark to halve the distance in the second half and get back in the game, only to be nullified by the opponent's hat-trick. At the beginning of the fourth quarter with Bologna leading with a new plus four, Florentia dusts off their pride, reigniting the game and closing the gap to 9-10 thanks to the goals by Sordini, Stocco, and Benevenuti. Bologna believes, Florentia less so, and Bragantini in a double superiority directs the match towards the end in a confused action influenced by some refereeing decisions.

Down by one with the final buzzer approaching, Minetti hesitates no longer and sends Cicali to attack, but the visiting defense repels every initiative and thanks to a double open net goal, which increases the lead, only to be slightly reduced at the end by Bini.

For the white and red coach, beyond the missed opportunities, it's a defeat that brings the team back to reality but doesn't change the ambitions in a very balanced championship, especially in the lower half of the table.
