TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Rylan Hopp (Fr., Seattle, Wash.) and David Morales (Jr., Los Angeles, Calif.) both notched hat-tricks with three goals as Northwest Division Champion/No. 14-ranked the University of Oregon dispatched Midwest Division Champion Iowa State University, 11-5, in a consolation game at the 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship hosted by the University of Florida.

The victory advances Oregon to a 2:50 p.m. Eastern match-up on Saturday, November 9, against Mid-Atlantic Division Champion/No. 14 Pennsylvania State University with a berth in the Ninth Place game on the line.  Iowa State will see its season draw to a close at 9:50 p.m. on November 9 as the Cyclones meet New York Division Champion/No. 13 the United States Military Academy in a 13th/15th Place game.

Due to time constraints, the 13th and 15th positions are not played out with the winners and losers of the pair of 13th/15th place games tying for the respective placements.

Oregon – which opened up a 4-1 lead with 5:32 left in the second quarter – was led by Hopp and Morales with Will Rowell (So., Palo Alto, Calif.) tacking on a pair of markers.  Carter Sloane (Jr., Carlsbad, Calif.), David Mitrovcan Morgan (Jr., Portland, Ore.) and Hunter Pilarski (Sr., San Jose, Calif.) accounted for the remainder of the team’s offense with solo strikes.

Hunter Kincaid (So., Carlsbad, Calif.) earned the win in cage with six saves, while Iowa State’s Alex Lofrano (Sr., Arlington Heights, Ill.) accounting for eight saves.

Sam Perez (Fr., La Grange, Ill.) keyed the Cyclones with two goals, while Mo Elliboudy (Fr., N.J.), Casey Smith (Fr., Santa Clara, Calif.) and Ryan Losh (Jr., LIbertyville, Ill.) each tac.ed on solo markers to support an eight save effort from Alex Lofrano (Sr., Arlington Heights, Ill.),
