Jadran and Solaris Secure Cup Finals
After the penultimate, 4th round of the Croatian Cup qualification tournament, group stage in Split, it is clear that Jadran and Solaris have joined Jug Adriatic Osiguranje and Mladost at the Cup final tournament in Zagreb on the 26th and 27th of this month. The only remaining unknown is which of the two clubs will claim the first place in the Split tournament. The answer to this question will be provided by the last match, tonight between Jadran and Solaris.
Primorje with an Easy Victory
In the 4th round, Primorje EB easily defeated OVK Split by 15 goal difference. Rijeka's team convincingly won all three quarters, with the best scorers for the winner being Viktor Tončinić, Tin Brubnjak, and Lucijan Dujmić, who all scored 4 goals each. Vito Janković also scored 4 goals for OVK Split.
Jadran Calculated Victory
Jadran recorded its fourth victory, this time against Zadar. It seems that the Jadran team did not necessarily play at full strength, certainly not with their best lineup, as Coach Marelja once again provided opportunities to younger players. Players like Bijač, Fatović, Dužević, and Berehulak rested. The top scorers for the winning team were Duje Pejković and Zvonimir Butić, each scoring 4 goals.
Solaris Also Victorious
After winning on penalties in the derby of the 3rd round against Primorje EB (Friday night), Solaris also defeated POŠK 1937. There were hardly any doubts even before the start of the match, and certainly not as the game progressed. POŠK players went through two periods of 11 minutes each without scoring (from the end of the first to the beginning of the third quarter, and the last 11 minutes of the match). Roko Pelicarić scored 5 goals for Solaris
