A2 M - Presentation of the 2024/25 competitive season at Circolo Nautico Salerno
Yesterday, the Bitdrome Circolo Nautico Salerno celebrated the start of the 2024/2025 competitive season in an evening full of emotion and team spirit.
The striking location of SOTTOVENTO hosted a crowded audience, consisting of athletes, families, local authorities, presidents, and managers of other city clubs, all united by the dream of facing together the difficult challenges ahead.
This year, we are competing in the national Serie A2 championship, a historic milestone for our club. It not only signifies our entry into top-level water polo but also presents a new opportunity to showcase the talent and passion of our young athletes.
The coaching staff, all players of the A2 first team, Juniors, Cadets, and Boys were introduced, the absolute protagonists of another thrilling season filled with achievements.
The evening began with words from President Giarletta, who recalled the sporting achievements of the previous season, from the successes of the first team to the excellent results of the youth teams. He also explained the reasons behind accepting the challenge of competing in the prestigious Serie A2.
Among the guests was the President of the Sports Commission of the Municipality of Salerno, Rino Avella, who brought greetings from the municipal administration and emphasized the challenge of sports facilities in the city, highlighting the significant milestone of Salerno having three teams in Serie A2.
Also showing their support were the regional Vice President of FIN Campania, Prof. Abate, and the provincial President of Fin Mariano Rampolla, along with the President of Rari Nantes Salerno, Enrico Gallozzi, who discussed collaborations between the two clubs.
The evening continued with the presentation of the young talents.
The President expressed gratitude to partner clubs: Pallanuoto Salerno, Swim Academy, Dream Team, and Balnea, and specifically Tonino Luongo, Dino Menduto, Marco Storniello, and Roberto Barbato, for their contribution to the training of the Cadet category (formerly Under 14). It was then the turn of the Junior (Under 18) and Cadet (Under 16) categories, in which CNS has achieved significant national results in recent years.
We are once again grateful to our Main sponsor, BITDROME, who has confirmed their support and commitment to accompany our club in this new and challenging adventure this season, supporting the importance of sporting challenges that involve young people, a concept also emphasized by CNS Vice President Maurizio Fasano. Their confidence in us is an additional incentive to give our best and pursue ever more ambitious goals!
A heartfelt thanks to all who made this evening at SOTTOVENTO possible for welcoming us into their splendid space. We are ready and excited to dive into the water and write a new chapter of successes and adventures! Stay tuned: our season is about to begin, and we can't wait to share every moment with all of you!
See you at the S. Vitale Pool on SATURDAY 9th November at 5:00 PM for the debut match against WATERPOLO NAPOLI LIONS.
