STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 2 Cardinal wraps up the non-conference schedule this weekend, hosting No. 17 Santa Clara and No. 12 UC San Diego at Avery Aquatic Center.


HOME STRETCH » With only three games left in the 2024 season, the Cardinal sits at 16-3 (3-2). This weekend wraps up Stanford's non-conference schedule, before the team ends the season against California on Nov. 15.

RANKED VISITORS » Stanford is 2-1 against USC and UCLA this season, with the one loss coming in double overtime to USC outside of conference play.

TOP COMPETITION » Santa Clara (No. 17) and UC San Diego (No. 12) come to The Farm ranked in the top 20. Stanford already boasts 10 top-10 wins on the season, including fiur top-four wins.

LEADING THE CARD » Riley Pittman has the team lead for both goals and assists, with 41 and 31, respectively. Pittman's assist total is good for the third-best in the MPSF West. 

SOREN TO NEW HEIGHTS » Soren Jensen has posted a banner year on The Farm, leading the team with 11 multi-goal games and trailing Pittman for the team goal lead by just four scores.

FRESHMEN ON FIRE » The freshmen have been key contributors so far this season, with Ryan OhlBotond BaloghBen Forer and Will Schneider combining for 71 points (44 goals 27 assists) on the year.

STAUNCH DEFENSE » Stanford has done a great job limiting opponent attacks this season, allowing just 166 goals in 19 games, the fewest in the MPSF West at just 74 goals per game.

RECORD ON WATCH » Jackson Painter's 175 career goals with Stanford have him 9 goals shy of the 10th-most in program history. The last edit to the program's top-10 list was 2021.

POSTSEASON CLOSING IN » The Cardinal has locked up the No. 3 seed at the MPSF Championships, which will be hosted by UCLA from Nov. 22-24.

VETERAN STANDOUTS » The Card returns three All America selections from 2023 in PainterPittman and Ethan Parrish. The trio extended a nearly-fifty-year run of Stanford landing multiple student-athletes on an All America team every year since 1975.

CARDINAL, WHITE AND BLUE » Four Cardinal products took home bronze with Team USA at this summer's Paris Olympic Games. Ben Hallock, Alex Bowen, Dylan Woodhead and Drew Holland were a part of the first Olympic medal since 2008, with Hallock serving as the team captain.
