Water Polo Serbia - Serbia Water Polo: Crvena Zvezda and Vojvodina in Challenger Cup
Category: Women's Water Polo
From Thursday to Sunday, the qualification tournaments for the Challenger Cup for female water polo players will be held. The best Serbian teams Vojvodina and Crvena Zvezda will participate in the third-ranked European club competition. Serbian women made it to the final in the first Challenger Cup but were defeated by Izmir. Vojvodina missed out on advancing to the final tournament due to their weakest performance in the three-team round.
This season, Vojvodina will host the competition at their pool from 8th to 10th November. Crvena Zvezda will start the competition in Alba Julia a day earlier with a match against Esslingen. The next day, Crvena Zvezda will play against Esslingen and Vojvodina against Sliema. On Saturday, the teams from Belgrade will face Galatasaray, and the teams from Novi Sad will play against Manchester City. On the last day, Sunday, Vojvodina will play against Izmir, and Crvena Zvezda against Alba Julia.
