No. 5 Pacific Resumes WCC Play at Air Force - University of the Pacific
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Returning back to West Coast Conference play, the fifth-ranked Pacific men's water polo program will head to Air Force for an 11 a.m. (PT) match Sunday at Cadet Natatorium.
The Tigers (14-1) are 2-0 in conference play with wins over No. 12 San Jose State and No. 18 LMU. Pacific's last four matches of the season are league games beginning with the Falcons (12-15, 0-1 WCC).
The Tigers remained top-five in the Collegiate Water Polo Association rankings for the sixth consecutive week. Pacific is coming off a 14-13 victory over No. 13 Harvard to complete the season sweep over the Crimson.
Senior Mihailo Vukazic leads the offense with 49 goals on the season, which is over a hat trick per match (3.27 gpg). He's a three-time WCC Player of the Week winner this year.
On a streak of three consecutive hat tricks is graduate Matthew Hosmer and he's second on the team in scoring with 32 goals. Senior Reuel D'Souza has netted 25 goals and has scored in seven consecutive games.
Air Force opened conference play with a 24-13 defeat to Pepperdine. The Tigers are 21-3 all-time against the Falcons and have won the last five meetings dating back to 2010.
Pacific's next home game is Friday, Nov. 8 when it hosts No. 17 Santa Clara at 7 p.m. at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center. The Tigers will host the West Coast Conference Championships on Nov. 22-24.
