VALLEJO, Calif. –
Ottawa (AZ) will head to PEAC Pool this weekend as defending NAIA West Invitational champions when the Cal Pac's annual men's water polo postseason tournament takes place in Vallejo this season.

Also competing for this year's championship is Cal Maritime, the host school, and Westcliff – the Cal Pac's other men's water polo teams.

A round robin involving all three participants will take place all day Saturday with the top two teams advancing to Sunday's title game. In addition to competing for the Cal Pac's crown, teams will via for MVP accolades — one per team — Best Offensive and Best Defensive Player honors.

Cal Maritime will enter the weekend with momentum after winning the Sierra Pacific Division Championship, punching its ticket to Gainesville, Florida, to compete in next weekend's national postseason tournament. Not only will these games offer the opportunity for Keelhauler fans to watch their team in action for the last time this season, these two matches — CSUM fans want to see the team compete in three — offer everyone the final chance to hone their skills and prep for next weekend's national playoffs.

The defending champs, OUAZ enter with a 3-6 record, but played six Division III schools from the SCIAC and a pair of Division-I schools (Arizona State and Cal State Fullerton) throughout its season.

When the Spirit visit Vallejo, it will compete in its first game since October 5.

Even though Westcliff's record is 6-15, the Warriors faced 14 schools that were nationally ranked throughout the fall. They are looking to bounce back from the last set of matches played, all against nationally ranked opponents: at No. 3 USC, at No. 16 LMU, at No. 7 Princeton and at No. 5 UC Irvine.

After this weekend's tournament, Westcliff will end its season on the 14th at No. 15 UC San Diego.
