No. 19 Brown University Bears Bucked by Host/No. 17 Santa Clara University Broncos, 13-12, on Final Day of Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — No. 19-ranked Brown University dropped its final game of the weekend, 13-12, to host/No. 17 Santa Clara University on the concluding day of the 2024 Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament.

Ilias Stothart led Brown with four goals. Trey Rogers and Máté Tymcyna each had three goals and Ramzi Megalli and Dominik Balla each scored once. Dimitris Kratimenos finished the game with seven saves.

The Bears were down 7-5 at the half but came back with four goals in the third quarter to tie up the game. Santa Clara took a 13-10 lead midway through the fourth but Stothart and Rogers each scored to pull Brown within one with just over 30 seconds left. Brown had a chance to tie the game but Daniel Hadar’s shot was stopped and Santa Clara held on for the win.
