Men GZC Donk and ZV De Zaan Prepare for Top Match
According to Donk coach Yuri Szeles, the loss to Amersfoort was a learning experience. "The defeat naturally hit us hard, but every day brings a new start and a chance to improve. We used the loss as a learning experience, and the team's focus is now on what lies ahead. We are determined, hungry, and absolutely ready to give our all tomorrow."
Szeles expects an interesting match against their rival, with both teams expected to play at their best. "Against De Zaan, I expect a lot of energy and resilience from our team. We have focused on several key aspects during training, such as disciplined defense, fast transitions, and precise finishing. It is important that we see the efforts reflected in our performances, staying sharp and sticking to the plan. I am looking forward to an intense and competitive match!"
ZV De Zaan coach Andreas Mirales expects a tough match but has great confidence in his team. "Despite their loss to Amersfoort, GZC Donk has a lot of quality. We are undefeated so far, but we are only focusing on the next match we have to play. Past performances are not always a good indicator of the future, and we try not to dwell on them. We need to learn from our weaker moments and improve ourselves. During this period, we are also preparing to play at the highest possible level, taking into account that we will also play the first European match in the Challenger Cup next weekend."
Mirales relies on the strength of his own team and knows how they should approach the match against the team from Gouda. "As a team, we do not deviate from our principles. We want to impose an extremely high tempo on the game and play solid defense to limit their scoring opportunities."
The match starts at 5:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door, and we will share the livestream link later.
Co-leader UZSC will face MNC Dordrecht at home. As a title contender, the team from Utrecht will want to show what they are capable of against the team from Dordrecht. The visitors are currently at the bottom of the table along with Polar Bears and BZ&PC, facing a tough challenge in Utrecht. UZSC is the favorite, but Dordrecht could spring a surprise if their defense holds strong. ZPC Amersfoort, performing exceptionally well, will visit De Ham. The visiting team showed their good form against GZC Donk last weekend. De Ham won their first league match and aims to take advantage of home soil and their solid defense.
It's also an important match for both Het Ravijn and PSV. The team from Nijverdal is one position ahead of PSV with two more points and will aim to hold onto their comfortable position.
