Officials for 2024 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference & Northeast Water Polo Conference Championships Selected
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The officials for the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) and Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Championships at the United States Naval Academy and Princeton University, respectively, on Friday-Sunday, November 22-24, were announced by the league’s Officiating Technical Committee.
The quartet of Val Vasilchikov, Tony Karaman, Igor Mernenko and Damon Newman will officiate the 10-game NWPC Championship at Princeton with No. 13-ranked Harvard University, No. 19 Brown University, Connecticut College, Iona University, Long Island University, Division III No. 7 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the host/No. 6 Tigers.
Jesus Mejia was selected as the alternate for the officiating crew with Technical Committee members Erik Farrar and Michael Goldenberg serving as referee evaluators during the weekend.
James Wolff, Alex High, Alex Larin and Jim Lewis will call the 12-game MAWPC Championship at Navy with No. 5 Fordham University, Bucknell University, George Washington University, Division III No. 10 Johns Hopkins University, Mercyhurst University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Wagner College and the host/No. 20 Midshipmen.
Mossab Omar was selected as the alternate for the officiating crew with Technical Committee member/Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Hall of Fame member Ed Reed as an evaluator.
