Winning start for Ethnikos Piraeus, 18-13 against Hapoel Yoqneam
Ethnikos Piraeus started their matches in the Women's Euro Cup Group B qualifiers in Berlin with a victory, defeating Israeli team Hapoel Yoqneam 18-13 in a match filled with goals and spectacle.
In a few hours, specifically at 19:00, the team coached by Orestis Salachas will face the German host Spandau, needing a win to take another step towards qualifying for the next phase of the competition.
The Greek team laid the foundation for victory early in the match against Yoqneam, taking a seven-goal lead (5-12, 6-13, and 7-14) with the Israeli team reducing the gap towards the end. Top scorers were Beta and Mamoglou (each with 4 goals). For Hapoel, Maria Bogatsenko scored 6 goals.
