Strong Weekends For Recco & Brescia Highlight Latest Water Polo Passport

Olympiacos (GRE) 15 at Sabadell (ESP) 8

Kostas Genidounias delivered five big goals as Olympiacos as raced past Alex Bowen and CN Sabadell. Meanwhile Savona, who will have the services of Marko Vavic before season's end downed Primorac Kotor 18-12 in a high-scoring affair.

Over in Euro Cup play a trip of Team USA athletes were in the pool. After a slow start last week, Olympic bronze medalist Max Irving was on point in Brescia's win over Apollon Smyrnis. He dropped two goals early to set the tone and finished the day with a hat trick. Fellow two-time Olympian Dylan Woodhead found himself in a tight battle against fellow Greek club Panionios as they got the win over Woodhead's Vouliagmeni by one, 10-9.
Recco Water Polo downed HAVK Mladost in a match full of offensive. Three-time Olympian Ben Hallock turned in a strong performance for Recco, tallying three goals for a 16-13 win, thwarting a five goal effort from Jan Busic.

On Day 2 of Serie A1 in Italy, four matches were on the docket where Team USA was capping up. Ben Hallock and Recco got the 12-7 win over Savona thanks to two goals from Hallock. Meanwhile TeliMar and Brescia saw a meeting between Paris teammates Drew Holland and Max Irving. Irving and Brescia were the winners on this day, taking a 14-8 decision behind three goals from Irving.

Being at home wasn't enough for Bologna De Akker was they lost by just one goal to SC Quinto 10-9. Tyler Abramson added a couple of scores for the home team in the tight contest. It was the same score and the same result for a USA athlete as Quinn Woodhead's eventual club Roma Via Nova lost to Florentia 10-9.
  

A1 Ethniki (Day 2)
October 19 – Larissa 8 at Vouliagmeni 13
October 19 – Chios 17 at AEK 9

Over in Greece in A1 Ethniki play, Vouliagmeni moved past Larissa 13-8 and Chios rolled by AEK 17-9. That gave Dylan Woodhead and Adrian Weinberg victories.

División de Honor (Day 3)
October 19 – Rubi 4 at Sabadell 16

Last but not least, in Spain for Division de Honor play, CN Sabadell left no doubt as Alex Bowen's cluby cruised past Rubi 16-4.
