League Weekend: Radnički and Red Star Secure Wins in Serbian Derbies in the Premier League

Radnički and Red Star have secured victories in matches between Serbian clubs in the fourth round of the Premier Regional League. The team from Kragujevac was better than Šabac, while Red Star defeated Valis.

On the domestic scene, the second round of the First A League and the first round of the First B League were also played.

Premier Regional League, Round 4

Radnički defeated Šabac away 11:8 (3:1, 3:1, 2:2, 3:4). Kragujevac played excellently in defense, especially in the first half, where they conceded only two goals. They took a two-goal lead early through Nikola Murišić and Nikola Jakšić (2:0), and by halftime had a four-goal advantage (6:2). Šabac tried to catch up in the second half (6:4), but Radnički responded with another series of four goals, reaching a six-goal lead midway through the final quarter - 10:4, leaving no doubts about the winner.

The most effective players in the winning team were Strahinja Rašović, Nikola Jakšić, and Nikola Murišić, each scoring two goals. On the other side, Luka Pljevančić, Aljoša Mačić, and Ognjen Stojanović each scored one goal.

Red Star claimed three points with a narrow victory over Valis in Valjevo 10:9 (1:2, 3:4, 1:1, 5:2). Valjevo had the upper hand for most of the match. In the third quarter, they had a three-goal lead (7:4), extending it with a goal from Vuk Kojić at the start of the fourth quarter (8:5). However, Red Star managed to come back into the match. The Red-Whites equalized at 8:8. In the 30th minute, Noa Burburan gave Valis a new lead - 9:8. Miloš Vukićević equalized once again, and Ivan Basara scored the winning goal 66 seconds before the end. Aleksandar Radanović scored four goals for Red Star, Basara and Šulc scored two each, and Vukićević and Banićević scored one each. For Valis, Burburan scored 3, Čabrilo 2, Krstić, Kojić, Bućan, and Radovanlija scored one each.

The fourth round concludes on Monday with the match between Novi Beograd and Jadran from Herceg Novi.

In the Croatian derby, Jadran from Split defeated Jug. Mladost, under the official leadership of Igor Milanović starting Monday, proved too strong for Primorje.
