A1 M - Training Academy Olympic Roma, first away game: flying to Trieste
After breaking the ice with the home debut against R.N. Savona, the Training Academy Olympic Roma is ready for the first away game of their Serie A1 season. Saturday, October 19th, at 3:45 PM, the first stop for coach Mario Fiorillo's boys is at Bruno Bianchi, the home of Pallanuoto Trieste. The Olympic team faces a tough challenge in the 2nd round, on a really challenging field. A nearly perfect performance will be needed to try to return to Rome with a positive result.
The match against Savona provided good signs for coach Fiorillo and his staff, who worked with the team during the week on areas needing improvement. Trieste is certainly a high-level opponent, as shown by their clear victory in the season opener - also at home - against Nuoto Catania. The Friulian team boasts many quality players in their roster, already experienced in the A1 league. It will be up to the senior players from Olympic to guide their younger teammates in this first away game of the year. For captain Cristiano Mirarchi, it's a family derby: on the opposing bench, he will find his dad Maurizio.
These are the words of Training Academy Olympic Roma coach, Mario Fiorillo: "We have a challenging match against a team that made significant moves in the market. They have many new players, but a structure already tested over many years in A1 and further enhanced by the arrival of Maurizio Mirarchi, one of the most prepared coaches in Italy. Like in the opener, we will need to approach the game in the best way possible and always stay in the match. This is the only way we can try to seize the opportunities we manage to create."
We remind all fans of Training Academy Olympic Roma and water polo enthusiasts that the match will be live on the Pallanuoto Trieste's YouTube channel.
