WJK girls under 16 with the Dutch Juniors in Manisa


WJK girls o.16 with Jong Oranje in Manisa


The Dutch water polo girls Year 2008 and younger will participate in the World Youth Championship (WJK) under 16 years old in Manisa, Turkey, from June 28 to July 4. Because Israel has withdrawn, the Dutch Juniors will only play against Thailand (twice) in Pool A. 

If the Netherlands finishes first or second in the group, the team of national coach Arjan Vos will play in the crossovers on Monday, July 1, against the number 2 or 1 of Group D respectively. (Kazakhstan, Hungary, South Africa) for a place in the quarter-finals. 

Young Oranje under 16 years will compete at the WJK in the following composition: Lissa Bulthuis (UZSC, goalkeeper), Hannah Trijsburg (ZVL-1886, goalkeeper), Isa Verschoor ( Het Ravijn), Jette Botermans (MNC Dordrecht), Judith Joosten (Polar Bears), Kyara Leenders (Polar Bears), Leyla Hiati (GZC Donk), Lin Godefrooij (VZV Njord), Loeki Ouwerkerk (ZVL-1886), Marjolein de Gier (Polar Bears), Maud Höppener (Polar Bears), Melike Özkan (Het Ravijn), Myrthe Broekmate (Het Ravijn), Sabina Brinkman (ZV De Ham), Vera van As (Polar Bears). 

In addition to national coach Arjan Vos, the guidance consists of assistant coaches Laszlo Nagy and Anouk Bergsma (also team manager) and physiotherapist Karla Plugge.
