Thetis Cup: sure win against Canada

It didn't go bad until then, but the 5-1 run after the 5-3 halftime decided the match before the last part, which the girls eventually won 11-6.

The match started a little chaotically, we played our first human forum very well anyway, "three more!" was heard at the moment of the shot, although the bagpipes also blared with the same momentum. Finally, after some deliberation, Kriszta Garda's goal was awarded - so that the following minutes would be spent in the spirit of missed advantages. They missed two in one attack - Alda Magyari excelled - we hit two in the block, and then through Lekness, the Canadians equalized in the middle of the quarter.

A nice counterattack resulted in a five, which Rita Keszthelyi sent to the instead, but the Canadians were also quite accurate in their next forum. This could not be said for us again, but at least Magyari was in his place in the new disadvantage. We were able to practice this element of the game for the fifth time, and it went well again - Kata Hajdu gave our team the lead 15 seconds before the whistle (3-2) with a first-class catch shot even in the crunch of time.

As well as the first ended, so well the second started: we doubled the advantage with Rebecca Parkes' sensational old-timer, and then created another disadvantage. After some "fielding", Brigitta Horváth finally converted our goal into a goal (a great snap shot under the crossbar). The destruction was very effective at the back, we took care of two more deficits, with a little more determined offensive play, the match could have been decided by the break - instead, Wright took advantage of a small defensive wobble and scored a shot half a minute before the whistle. That's why it was a shame, even though we still led 5-3 at halftime.

In any case, Parkes opened the third period with a center goal - of the dribbling variety - and half a minute later, Rita Keszthelyi found some area on the wing, which she usually enough to score. There was one more to the plus five, but we overplayed, but the Canadians closed with a single pass (7-4). Let's say from this point of view, Hajdura couldn't complain either, he cut our advantage together with a block and the goalkeeper, and then Vanda Vályi started to settle the game for good with a sensational escape goal. And Gurisatti's advantage goal meant roughly the point (three), and with that we already led 10-4.

Just like a week ago, in Gödöllő, the Canadians collapsed in the third quarter, their center passes were no longer sitting, our defenders and our blocks were only saved by their goalkeeper and the goal post from an even rougher partial result (and we weren't accurate either, several goals were missed in the hair). Of course, the 5-1 run didn't look bad anyway (it was 6-0 last time).

The fourth part started with an exceptional Canadian advantage - let's say they hit the target exceptionally accurately - but the answer came from the center again . Let's say it a little adventurously: the referee was about to let Mahieu Geraldine's disarmament go (according to today's understanding, it was a qualified case of the fifth anyway), it's another matter that the Canadian defender dribbled the ball with such elan that it ended up in their goal.

< p>The match became a little more energetic, so Attila Mihók asked for a time-out, our game got a little bit sharper, but again we failed to pass the ball through the goalkeeper in a man-hole; i.e. apart from the "own goal", they again failed to score in the final part, just like against the Australians. It's true, it didn't matter now, although we hope that in the final match against the Greeks on Sunday, we can still play with the same intensity in the last eight minutes as we did in the first three quarters.
