Milardović earned penalties, while Živković brought victory
Croatian players took the spotlight in the 2nd round match of Group A in Bucharest where Steaua won against the German champion Waspo 98 Hannover in penalties.
The Romanians were leading throughout the match, winning the first quarter 4-0, until the guests from northern Germany equalized for the first and only time exactly one second before the end of the 32nd minute, with Nikola Milardović, one of the four Croats in the German team, being the scorer.
In the penalty shootout, the last shooter for Steaua and also for the victory was the left-handed player from Split, Ivan Živković.
In Group B, where our Jadran is also playing, the European champion Ferencvaros demonstrated power in the heart of Kragujevac.
