A1 M – Jacopo Rubini on loan to A1
Jacopo Rubini goes on loan to complete his experience in A1 with the other senior goalkeepers Raffaele Giannotti (in A2 at Cn Latina) and Tommaso Peluso (in A1 at Olympic), with the stated goal of earning the starting position. Roma Vis Nova has agreed to respond positively to the loan request in the sole interest of the athlete, who will be able to start his university studies at IUSM without relocating. Rubini, like the other lion goalkeepers, has had the fortune of being trained by Claudio Gazzarini (and Stefano Fonti himself). Roma Vis Nova once again proves to be a forge of top-level goalkeepers, all with experiences in youth national teams, such as Federico Castrucci (Youth and A1). Felix Caprarotta (class of 2008) will defend the goal of Olympic youth team this year to fully demonstrate his worth. As for Giovannini, the latest talent (in age but not in skills... and in height), a product of the Roman school, (class of 2009) will be a protagonist in our youth categories and beyond. These choices demonstrate how it is possible to prioritize the growth of athletes respecting their sporting desires, rather than selfish calculations that this year too (hopefully for the last time) force young Roman talents to "quit" or play with promises never kept, humiliating them and their supporting families. Hoping that this can change soon, in the interest of water polo, we wish all our athletes a year of great satisfactions and strength Leoni.
