WATER POLO / MEN'S EURO CUP
NO Vouliagmenis bowed out in the end - Losing 13-11 to Barcelona
NO Vouliagmenis fought until the last minutes... Vlado Vujasinovic's team was defeated 13-11 by Barcelona on Saturday (28/9) in their second game for the 3o qualifying group of the Men's Water Polo Euro Cup, hosted in Barcelona.
However, the "babies", who will face off on Sunday (29/9) at 11.30 am with Irene Genova Quito, keep their hopes intact for qualification to the "16" phase of the competition, since Solaris Sibenik (which NOV has beaten 12-10) earlier prevailed over the Italian team with 12-9.
Without the injured Chalyvopoulos and charged with many penalties, the young team of NO Vouliagmenis failed to find solutions in the last minutes of the match. Led by Javier Goria who scored five goals, Barcelona matched their group wins.
