The Spanish Children's Club Championship presented in Malaga
The Malaga Aquatic Center was the setting this Tuesday for the presentation of the Spanish Children's Championship for Men's and Women's Clubs that will be held in this same location from June 20 to 23. The competition will bring together more than 600 athletes from 40 teams from all over Spain. A total of 110 games will be played and a large influx of family members and companions is expected, more than 1,000 for a great economic impact on the city, and for a total of 3,000 fans on average in the stands each day.
The event is co-organized by the RFEN, the CW Málaga and the Andalusian Swimming Federation and has the institutional sponsorship of the Malaga City Council, the Provincial Council and the Government of Andalusia, together with the Unicaja Foundation , Inacua and Sol Sports.
In the presentation event this Tuesday, Francisco Olmos, vice president of the RFEN, the president of the Málaga Water Polo Club, Alfonso Wucherpfennig, Daniel Pérez, general director of Sports of the Málaga City Council, participated; Javier Díaz, director of Sports of the Provincial Council; Sara Fernández, coordinator of the Málaga Water Polo Club and delegate in Málaga of the Andalusian Swimming Federation, Cristina Rojas, from SolSports, and Carmen Mendoza, from Inacua.
Olmos pointed out that “Málaga always creates consensus in the bodies federation when it comes to bringing sporting events of this level and hopes that a great spectacle will be seen." For his part, the president of the host club thanked “the opportunity to enjoy the best children's water polo in Spain in Malaga and what it means for the city when it comes to continuing to publicize this sport and the economic impact it has.”
