EUROCUP | Four Spanish teams, going for the pass to the group stage
Four Spanish teams are competing from this Thursday until Sunday in the preliminary phase of the LEN Eurocup. The second club competition at continental level opens the curtain with CN Terrassa, Echeyde, CN Sant Andreu and CN Barcelona as Spanish representatives. In total, 36 teams are competing for the 16 tickets to play in the group stage. The top two teams from each of the eight groups advance to the next round.
Starting with CN Sant Andreu, Juan Carlos Sanchón's team will face Apollon Smyrnis, Cattaro Kotor, Enka SC and HAVK Mladost in Group D.
In Group C, CN Barcelona will face Italian side IREN Genoa, Croatian side Solaris Sibenik and Greek side Vouliagmeni.
In Group E, Tenerife Echeyde will play Greek side Panionios, German side Spandau and Hungarian side Szolnoki.
Finally, CN Terrassa will face Italian side Pro Recco, Croatian side Primorje and Hungarian side BVSC-Manna.
