Recco Waterpolo, Tomorrow in Budapest the debut in the Euro Cup
Three games in 40 hours to achieve the first goal of the season: Pro Recco flew to Hungary, to Budapest, for the Euro Cup qualifying round. The debut for Di Fulvio and his teammates is scheduled for tomorrow at 8 pm against the Croatians of Primorje, finalists in the last edition won by Jug Dubrovnik; the following day, at the same time, the challenge with the Spanish team Terrassa; Sunday at 12 the last act against the home team Vasutas. The first two classified teams advance to the next round.
Petar Vujosevic, a Montenegrin defender born in 2003, who spent the last season in Camogli, will make his debut for the Biancocelesti.
“It was two weeks of intense and very beautiful work – said Matteo Iocchi Gratta – it was a dream to meet up with almost all the members of the team and the staff from last season: right now I only feel positive feelings. We spent two days in Siracusa in common training with Ortigia, fundamental training sessions to get back into the rhythm of the match and introduce the youngest players to our game mechanisms. In Budapest we face teams that are further ahead in their preparation, that started much earlier, but it is also true that many of us played the Olympics until mid-August and therefore I am confident that we will be up to the task of three such important matches. We have great respect for our opponents, everyone when they play against Pro Recco wants to beat them and gives more than 100 percent. We will go into the water without Fondelli who is getting married this weekend and will experience one of the best moments of his life: we hope to be able to dedicate the passage of the round to him and thus give him further joy”.
The matches will be streamed on Euroaquaticstv.com.
