Deni Lušić Lifetime Achievement Award
On the occasion of the Split Sports Day, in the building of the Croatian Home in Split, this year's awards of the Split Sports Association were presented.
The highest recognition of Split sports, the "Fabijan Kaliterna" Lifetime Achievement Award, went to our Deni Lušić, a celebrated water polo player, as well as former football player of Hajduk, Ivo Bego.
Deni Lušić is the only athlete from Split who has two Olympic gold medals. Deni was an Olympic winner in Los Angeles in 1984 and Seoul in 1988.
Andrija Polić, president of the Split Sports Association, also awarded awards to all athletes from Split and Split clubs who participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. in Paris this summer. That's how Jerko Marinić Kragić, Loren Fatović and Marko Bijač, Croatian national team members and silver medal winners in Paris, and at the same time water polo players from Jadran from Split, national champions, received awards.
Thank you to the Split Sports Association for awarding Marko and me with awards, even though we are from Dubrovnik - Loren Fatović said sympathetically.
